EV Indonesia 2024 – ASEAN’s Largest and Most Sought Trade Fair for Electric Vehicle Industry








JAKARTA – According to a joint study conducted by AC Ventures and e-mobility association AEML, the total electric vehicle ecosystem market in Indonesia is expected to exceed USD 20 billion by 2030.

The study shows that the Research & Development (R&D) and electric vehicle manufacturing sectors offer the largest total market, ranging from USD 12.5 billion to USD 15 billion in 2030. Excluding rental and second-hand, vehicle sales are also expected to reach market size amounting to USD 2 billion in the next decade.

The market size for cell manufacturing and battery management systems also is estimated to be worth around USD 3 billion to USD 4.5 billion, while charging infrastructure is expected to reach USD 2 billion to USD 3 billion by 2030.

The study also revealed that the battery servicing, maintenance and recycling industry could reach a market size of around USD 500 million to USD 1.5 billion by 2030 despite the presence of EV in Indonesia is still growing.

EV Indonesia 2024 presented the latest trends and technologies for electric vehicles and manufacturing solutions, including batteries, power generation engines, IT systems, materials, equipment and services related to electric vehicles. This exhibition was attended by government officials, entrepreneurs, practitioners, academics and company leaders to discuss and exchange insights about electric vehicles and manufacturing solutions.
